Ola by Ingri and Edgar Parin d’Aulaire
Far up in the north the sun is afraid to show his pale face in winter. But the moon and the stars love the sparkling frost. They gleam fairlylike through the long night and the arctic lights leap across the sky in cold, silent flames.
The d'Aulaire's spent a lot of time traveling to the North Pole and learning about the Sami people. You might be familiar with the Book of Trolls or Norse Myths... But Ola has some of the most beautiful illustrations they created of Nordic culture.
This is a very old book but a rare readable copy
Edge wear to the covers, clean pages.
